Web studios tend to create powerful and interesting sites for the portfolio in order to gain some kind of popularity. Such projects often do not generate any profit and are mainly intended to demonstrate the capabilities of the company. Such is also the interesting site called Threaded, an experiment of control over your mind.
Threaded (www.resn.co.nz/threaded) is not an ordinary website, it is kind of a strange project, original and unusual, the core idea of which is to have human mind under control.
Once you enter the site, you will find yourself in front of pictures, like those in old science fiction or horror films. Externally, the site is designed in the style of interfaces of the first operating systems with graphic cover. It seems that while being on the site you have the feeling of being hypnotized.
Threaded consists of several parts, so called phases. Each phase represents a few scenes with special “buns”. For example, you can attach the tongue to the mouth, which flies chaotically on the screen, regardless of the fact whether you will do so or not, in any case you will pass to the next phase. Despite the abundance of such mini-games, the site does not look like a game, but rather an interactive video.
A face of artificial intelligence will be talking to you. All the effects of interruption, distortion of the face are just lovely, and the computer voice seems even a little scary. Really unbelievable, let alone the psychotropic music.
