New advertising platform on Facebook

Facebook is about to launch a new advertising service that allows advertisers to make their online offers to users in real time. The new service will be called Facebook Exchange and is rumored to be available in a few weeks. Facebook spokesman said the price will be based on CPM (cost per thousand impressions) and ads will be sold through third parties.

Facebook Exchange will be targeted on those users whose cookies can be easily monitored and partner sites can easily find these Facebook members. By the way, Facebook will not allow its members to block their cookies. Instead of them, the suppliers take responsibility for providing users an opportunity to refuse. Some of the suppliers are Triggit Triggit, Turn, DataXu, MediaMath, AppNexus, TheTradeDesk and AdRoll. Advertisers can focus on their members through specific demographic data of users and their Likes.

Google Display Network (GDN) offers similar product Remarketing, however, the new Facebook Exchange will allow advertisers to draw the attention to people who love certain products or brands, allowing advertisers to reach a very targeted audience.
